Role Specifics

Hiway is in a significant growth phase, supported by a solid pipeline of secured projects. We are seeking Project & Site Engineers to play a key role of delivering complex civil infrastructure works across Queensland.

  • Oversee the efficient delivery of works in collaboration with the Project Manager
  • Oversee and record project quality, costs, with any overruns reported to the Project Manager in a timely manner
  • Liaise with various stakeholders including providing regular project progress updates
  • Proactively address issues related to employee performance, client expectations, and project delivery, escalating to the Project Manager as appropriate.
  • Provide leadership on site in relation to Zero Harm requirements and ensure any issues are reported
  • Ensure that prior to the commencement of works, our work crews understand the work requirements

Requirements

  • Degree qualification in Engineering, Construction or related discipline.
  • A positive, proactive attitude with a strong desire to succeed
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
  • Availability to travel away for work, and work a range of day, night, weekend and public holiday shifts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency
  • A valid C Class driver's licence and a Construction White Card
