The Role

We are seeking an experienced
Project Engineer
to work on specialist projects for our Civil division based out of our office in Yatala QLD. However, we will be moving closer to Brisbane in the next 6 to 12 months.

This role will be supported by the Construction Manager, Senior Project Engineer, and Superintendent, and will work closely with site personnel, ensuring prompt project delivery and quality work.

We undertake various niche projects across Australia which include but are not limited to stay cable systems, slipform construction and dam anchor monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare project-specific documentation, including technical, safety, environmental, and quality (QSE) deliverables such as method statements, MDRs, plans, and other required documentation.
  • Facilitate the delivery of small specialist projects which will include planning, procurement, execution and handovers.
  • Provide technical advice and support to the project delivery team, ensuring that project objectives are achieved. Assist in monitoring project performance, including tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Conduct proactive inspections of project activities to monitor progress and ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and QSE standards/best practices.
  • Offer technical advice to industrial or managerial personnel regarding design, construction, program modifications, or structural repairs.
  • Maintain project controls as directed, including the management and coordination of QAQC testing activities to ensure specification compliance.

The successful applicant will ideally have:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Experience working with post-tensioning, ground anchoring, or specialist bridge construction techniques (Essential).
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen.
  • Experience using Microsoft Project and Primavera (Desirable).
  • Strong communication and planning skills, including working closely with clients.
  • Demonstrated experience in effective HSQE management.
