About the opportunity:

As Mastermyne's pipeline of project work across New South Wales continues to grow into FY26, we're seeking experienced underground coal mine operators who are looking to be part of something bigger.

Our Projects Division delivers specialised project services across multiple mine sites and regions — with a strong focus on quality, safety, and technical excellence.

This is an exciting opportunity for candidates who are keen to work across a diverse range of projects, develop new skills, and be exposed to different mine environments throughout NSW's Hunter, Western, and Illawarra regions.

Snapshot of project work to get your hands on:

  • Bulkhead seal installations
  • Strata consolidation and remediation works
  • Ventilation installation and support
  • Remediation and sealing projects
  • Emergency sealing system installation

About you:

  • Demonstrated experience as an underground coal miner/operator;
  • Chemical application / pumping experience - Highly desirable;
  • Generic Underground Induction;
  • Current Order 43 Medical or willingness to update;
  • Current Drivers Licence;
  • Committed to working safely and efficiently in underground coal environments;
  • Flexible and willing to travel to different project sites;
  • Looking for variety, challenge, and exposure to specialised project work.
