We're continuing to build a high-performing maintenance team and are looking for a skilled and driven Heavy Crew Trades Assistant to play a key role in lifting the performance and reliability of our fleet.

About The Role
Location: Mount Arthur South Mine

Roster: 5/4 Lifestyle Day/ Night Roster

As a Heavy Crew Trades Assistant, you will support our Excavator and Drill Maintenance Team by executing essential support and maintenance tasks. Based just outside of Muswellbrook, this role offers an excellent opportunity to grow your experience within a high-performing, supportive crew.

Key Responsibilities:

  • High-pressure washing and detailing of Liebherr Excavators and CAT Drills
  • Delivery and escort of tooling, parts, and equipment across site
  • Assisting trades with planned maintenance tasks on heavy machinery
  • Operating maintenance support equipment (including IT Loaders, EWPs, and service vehicles)
  • Supporting shutdown preparation, staging, and clean-up
  • General housekeeping and trade support across the heavy maintenance area

About You
Safety-focused, proactive, and dependable

  • Experienced in working around large mobile plant and heavy equipment
  • Skilled in high-pressure washing and detailing of machinery, with an eye for quality and thoroughness
  • Able to safely work in various weather and environmental conditions, including mud, heat, and dust
  • Comfortable using pressure cleaners, degreasers, and industrial cleaning equipment
  • Capable of operating support equipment and confident navigating a large mining site
  • A strong team player with a positive attitude and willingness to assist tradespeople
  • Motivated to grow their skillset and take pride in their work
