What You'll Do
As a Taxation Business Analyst based in Adelaide, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Taxation Services Team's mission to deliver reliable financial services across government operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will centre around processing financial transactions with precision, interpreting data associated with FBT and GST, preparing comprehensive reports, and developing robust operational procedures. - Develop clear, concise operational procedures and documentation that enhance team effectiveness and streamline business processes.
- Ensure strict adherence to records management requirements by maintaining organised documentation and supporting audit readiness.
- Work independently as well as collaboratively within the team to consistently meet challenging deadlines while sharing knowledge with colleagues.
- Identify issues proactively, propose practical solutions, and implement improvements that benefit overall team performance.
- Actively contribute towards achieving shared team goals by participating in group discussions, offering constructive feedback, and supporting others as needed.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills when liaising with internal stakeholders or presenting findings.

Your background may include exposure to financial reporting or accounting processes within large organisations or public sector teams. You possess strong organisational skills that allow you to juggle competing priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy. Your interpersonal abilities shine through both written documentation—where clarity is key—and verbal interactions with colleagues or stakeholders. Adaptability is one of your core strengths; you embrace new technologies or systems enthusiastically while remaining committed to best practice records management. Your capacity for research-driven analysis enables you to identify areas for improvement within existing procedures. Above all else, your reliability ensures that deadlines are met without sacrificing quality or compliance.

- Effective verbal communication abilities that foster positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders alike.
- Capacity to learn quickly and adapt seamlessly to new systems or processes introduced within the organisation.
- Background knowledge of financial reporting or accounting processes relevant to public sector operations is highly desirable.
