Position Overview
Situ Systems seeks an experienced Sales and Marketing Manager to drive revenue growth across our dual customer segments: home builders and building product suppliers. This role is critical to scaling our 3D visualization platform from our current Australian base into international markets.
The successful candidate will lead sales and marketing activities for a company at an inflection point. With proven technology, established market leaders as customers, and clear expansion opportunities, this role offers significant growth potential and potential career progression.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership (60%)
Builder Acquisition
- Target and close top 20 Australian builders
- Develop relationships with C-suite executives who control visualization budgets
- Navigate organizational dynamics between executives and drafting departments
- Leverage board relationships with Burbank and Metricon CEOs for introductions
Supplier Network Expansion
- Convert builder relationships into supplier acquisitions
- Maintain subscription model across growing network
- Develop strategies to overcome supplier reluctance to introduce new builders
- Create value propositions for suppliers as network overlap increases
Strategic Account Management
- Manage board member relationships professionally and strategically
- Position for US market entry through corporate relationships
- Coordinate with 3rd parties for smaller builder market segment
Marketing Leadership (30%)
Market Positioning
- Develop compelling ROI stories (e.g., $300K annual savings for large builders)
- Create differentiated messaging for executives vs. technical teams
- Highlight supplier value through unlimited builder exposure model
- Position BIM compatibility benefits beyond just Situ usage
Lead Generation
- Implement targeted campaigns for top 100 builders
- Create supplier acquisition materials leveraging builder relationships
- Develop case studies from Metricon and Burbank successes
- Coordinate marketing efforts with board member introductions
Operational Excellence (10%)
Performance Management
- Track and report on sales pipeline and conversion metrics
- Monitor supplier acquisition rates per builder relationship
- Measure marketing campaign effectiveness
- Provide regular updates to CEO and board
Required Qualifications
Essential Experience
- 5+ years B2B sales experience in construction, building, or related industries
- Proven track record selling to C-suite executives
- Experience managing complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders
- Demonstrated success in SaaS or subscription model businesses
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or related field
- OR equivalent combination of industry experience and professional development
- Industry certifications and specialized training considered in lieu of formal degree
Industry Knowledge
- Understanding of home building industry dynamics
- Familiarity with BIM, CAD, or 3D visualization technologies
- Knowledge of Australian building market landscape
- Awareness of building product supply chains
Technical Competence
- Ability to understand and articulate technical value propositions
- Experience navigating technical objections from IT/drafting departments
- Comfort with API-based products and integration discussions
- Basic understanding of 3D modeling concepts
Digital Self-Sufficiency (Essential)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with email marketing platforms (MailChimp, HubSpot, or similar)
- Strong web research and content management skills
- Ability to create professional presentations and proposals independently

Important Note
This is a self-managed position requiring strong digital literacy and the ability to handle all administrative aspects of the role independently. The successful candidate must be comfortable creating their own marketing materials, managing email campaigns, maintaining CRM records, and producing professional documentation without administrative support.
