Malaga, Western Australia Nu Style Shutters Full time $150,000 - $180,000 per year

Position Overview

This is a 100% commission-only, subcontractor role where you will be essentially be running your own sales business within Nu Style Shutters. You'll be responsible for:

  • Selling a 5-product range (roller shutters, alfresco blinds, security doors/screens, plantation shutters, and blockout blinds)
  • Attending 15-20 pre-qualified in-home appointments per week
  • Handling all quoting, measuring, presenting, and follow-ups
  • Performing daily admin (around a minimum of 1 hour)
  • Driving across the Perth metro area

Income & Expectations

  • Commission only (no base salary)
  • Expected income: $150K–$180K/year (after ~2 months ramp-up)
  • Leads are provided, but you can generate your own for additional 5% commission
  • No cold calling, but follow-up is 100% your responsibility
  • Must maintain a 50%+ close rate after initial training period

What's Provided

  • Pre-qualified leads
  • Full product and install training (about 2 weeks)
  • Company SIM (you use your own phone)
  • A company vehicle after a period of high sales (initially, you use your own car and fuel)
  • Weekly commission payments on invoice

What You Must Provide / Set Up

This is a subcontractor model, so you must establish your own business entity and cover costs including:

  • PTY LTD company registered with GST
  • Public liability insurance ($20M) and workers comp
  • Laptop/iPad, stationery, laser measurer, uniform
  • Own vehicle, mobile, fuel, and admin setup at home
  • Company setup costs: ~$1,000–$2,000 initially

Training & Ramp-Up

  • Initial training is provided, but you're expected to self-learn fast
  • First few weeks:  leads and small sales opportunities to gain traction
  • Within 2 months: expected to handle $40K+ in weekly sales

Important Considerations

  • This is not a salaried job. You must be financially stable and ready to sell
  • The role requires high autonomy, discipline, and proven face-to-face sales experience.
  • If you're not already familiar with trade-based or home improvement products, the learning curve may be steep.
