As we continue to expand our operations and equipment rental division, we're seeking an experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive growth and build strong client relationships across the energy and industrial sectors.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll lead Gapcon's business growth initiatives by identifying opportunities, securing new contracts, and expanding our presence in electrical testing, commissioning, and equipment rental markets.
You'll be responsible for:
- Developing and executing sales strategies that target Tier 1 and Tier 2 clients in mining, utilities, and construction.
- Preparing and submitting tenders, RFQs, and proposals in collaboration with our technical and operations teams.
- Building strong client relationships and identifying long-term service agreements or rental partnerships.
- Driving business expansion across new regions and service lines.
- Managing key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining consistent pipeline growth.
What You'll Bring
- Proven success in business development or sales within the electrical, mining, or industrial sectors.
- Sound knowledge of electrical testing, commissioning, and HV systems (advantageous).
- Strong understanding of tendering, contracts, and pricing strategies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working in both the office and field environments.
- Current WA Driver's Licence and ability to travel to client sites as required.
