Nour itself is proud to hold 1 Hat and 2 Goblets, recognised for its vibrant modern Middle Eastern cuisine, creative energy, and warm hospitality in the heart of Surry Hills.

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Head Sommelier to lead our wine program and join our senior leadership team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a talented wine professional — ideal for a Senior Sommelier ready to step up into a leadership role within one of Sydney's most dynamic dining destinations.


About the Role

As Head Sommelier, you will:

  • Curate and manage Nour's award-winning wine program.
  • Lead wine service and deliver exceptional guest experiences through thoughtful pairings.
  • Mentor and train the FOH team, lifting overall knowledge and service standards.
  • Manage COGS, supplier relationships, and cellar operations.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head Chef and senior management to align wine with food and overall service vision.
  • Play an active part in the senior leadership team, helping shape culture and standards across the restaurant.

What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience as a Head Sommelier or strong Senior Sommelier ready to step up.
  • Exceptional knowledge of both local and international wines.
  • WSET Level 3 (or equivalent) desirable.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring ability.
  • A guest-focused approach with excellent communication skills.
  • Organised, with experience in cellar management and cost controls.
