The Goodies is a growing hospitality group founded by Nathan & Sali Sasi and Morgan McGlone, known for thoughtful food, generous, warm service, and neighbourhood-driven hospitality. With continued growth we are now looking for a Head Somm to join our team.

Role Summary

The Head Sommelier is responsible for assisting our Group Sommelier in leading and curating the wine and beverage program across all venues under The Goodies Group. Working closely with the founders, venue managers, and Group Sommelier ensures that each venue's beverage offering is aligned with its culinary identity and guest experience.

This includes wine list development, supplier relations, service training, exception guest service and financial performance.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the curation of distinct wine lists tailored to each venue's concept.
  • Source and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers and distributors
  • Develop non-alcoholic and low-intervention offerings where relevant.
  • Train all front-of-house teams in beverage knowledge, service, and upselling techniques.
  • Conduct regular tastings, service refreshers, and onboarding sessions.
  • Set and uphold standards of service, storage, and cellar management.
  • Carry out exceptional guest experiences through service shifts across all venues.
