Casual Sommelier / Wine Waiter – ESCA Venues (Nour / Aalia), Sydney

Join ESCA Group, one of Australia's most respected hospitality groups, with award-winning restaurants including Ito (1 Hat), Aalia (2 Hats), Nour (1 Hat), Lilymu, Joji, and more. We are looking for a casual sommelier or wine waiter to join our front-of-house team and enhance the guest experience with your wine expertise.

About the Role

As a casual sommelier/wine waiter, you will:

  • Assist with wine service, recommending pairings to enhance the dining experience.
  • Serve wine with confidence and professionalism.
  • Support the FOH team during service to maintain a smooth and efficient flow.
  • Work under the guidance of the Head Sommelier or senior FOH staff.
  • Deliver excellent hospitality in line with the high standards of ESCA venues.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in wine service or as a sommelier in a fine dining or high-quality restaurant.
  • Knowledge of wine, spirits, and beverage pairings.
  • Professional, approachable, and guest-focused attitude.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
