We are seeking a Head Sommelier to join our experienced customer focused team. You'll be working within an extensive, premium beverage offering predominantly Australian with New Zealand & International Brands from France, Italy, Argentina and the United States, matched with a refined menu,

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum 3 years of Premium Wine & Beverage Experience
  • Minimum WSET Level 2 Required
  • CMS Sommeliers Course an advantage – Introductory/Certified
  • Effective planning and time management skills
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Interpersonal, organizational and presentation skills
  • Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Current RSA Certificate/Competency Card
  • Exceptional personal hygiene and presentation
  • Service experience, interest, skill and success in the restaurant industry
  • Excellent understanding of Australian Wine, International Wines/French/Italian/South American, spirits, cocktail knowledge & preparation, beer knowledge
  • Bar Management
  • Stocktaking Procedures
  • Up to date with Beverage trends within the market
