Lead the legal strategy behind NSW Health's most ambitious infrastructure projects and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare across the state. As Director, Legal, you'll provide expert oversight on multi-billion-dollar developments, influencing high-stakes decisions and ensuring best-practice governance for major capital investments. This is an ongoing, full time, Band 1, Health Service Senior Executive (HSSE) role. An attractive remuneration package within the range of $218,617 to $243,563 per annum, with annual performance reviews, will be negotiated with the successful applicant.

About you

We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:

  • Legal qualifications, admission as a legal practitioner to the Supreme Court of NSW and a current practising certificate from the Law Society of NSW is essential.
  • Extensive experience providing legal counsel on complex infrastructure and construction projects, ideally in a health care setting and driving strategic legal and governance outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of NSW public sector legal frameworks, including procurement, planning, environmental, and infrastructure regulations.
  • Expertise in contract and commercial law for infrastructure, construction, asset leasing, and procurement, ensuring risk mitigation and commercial viability.
  • Proven leadership in governance and risk management within large, multi-stakeholder infrastructure environments.
