About the client:
We're partnering with a complex, multi-site organisation that is currently undertaking a business-wide transformation with a renewed focus on data-driven decision-making. Following the rollout of a Salesforce CRM system across the organisation in 2024, this $200m-$300m revenue business has just appointed a new commercially focused CFO, this is a pivotal time to join. The environment is dynamic and the kind of place where finance professionals can make a real impact.
About the role:
Reporting directly to the CFO, this role sits at the centre of performance analysis and board reporting. You'll be responsible for identifying key issues and variances, working with divisional business partners to build budgets from the ground up, and delivering the insights that drive better financial outcomes and accountability.
Your work will include:
- Owning the monthly board reporting pack and variance analysis
- Leading fortnightly and monthly payroll and labour cost analysis
- Building and managing the group budget, 3-way model and rolling forecast
- Developing and maintaining financial models to support corporate-level strategic planning
- Monitoring KPIs and performance across multiple sites, identifying trends and risks
- Driving continuous improvement across budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes
You'll work closely with a team of Finance Business Partners who support individual business units, while your focus remains on the group-level performance and leadership team.
About You:
You're an analytical thinker who enjoys turning numbers into insight. You're comfortable in a fast-paced team that is going through a period of transformation, can spot what's wrong before others see it, and have the curiosity to dig deeper.
- Background in FP&A, management reporting, or analytical finance within a large or multi-site organisation
- Strong financial modelling and Excel capability
- Confident in building budgets, forecasts, and interacting with senior leaders
- CA/CPA qualified
- Sector agnostic but experience in turnaround or transformation environments will be highly regarded
What's on offer:
This is an excellent opportunity to grow under a capable and forward-thinking CFO. You'll play a key role in shaping the group's financial insights during a period of transformation and be well-positioned to take on broader responsibilities as the business evolves.
- Salary circa $160k + Super + on site car parking + benefits
- Two days per week WFH
- Ownership of board-level reporting and input into strategic decision-making
