Senior Tax Accountant
 to join our 
Point Cook office
 in a leadership capacity.

The Role

We are seeking a 
Senior Tax Accountant
 with at least 
5 years of experience
 in public practice, a valid 
Tax Agent Licence
, and proven 
team management skills
. This is a leadership role where you will supervise a team of accountants, manage complex client portfolios, and deliver high-level advisory services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of accountants (junior to intermediate).
  • Review and oversee preparation of tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships, and SMSFs.
  • Provide advanced tax planning, structuring, and advisory services for SMEs, investors, and business owners.
  • Oversee and review BAS, IAS, FBT, and GST obligations.
  • Ensure technical compliance with Australian tax law and ATO requirements.
  • Manage client relationships, providing proactive solutions and advisory services.
  • Drive team performance, process improvements, and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with directors and partners to achieve Clear Tax's growth objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 
    5 years' experience
     in Australian tax and accounting (public practice essential).
  • Current 
    Tax Agent Licence
     (mandatory).
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CA/CPA qualification (completed or near completion preferred).
  • Demonstrated 
    leadership and team management experience
    .
  • Deep technical knowledge of Australian taxation, structuring, and compliance.
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills.
  • Proficiency with accounting/tax software (Xero, MYOB, HandiTax or similar).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while leading a team effectively.
