We have multiple roles available for Data Coordinators to join our Defence division and support with this new contract. These will be offered as permanent full-time positions that could be based at any of the main defence bases in the Northern Territory or South Australia, or from our Melbourne Head Office on Collins Street.

About the role

You will support the Project Data Services Manager in ensuring efficient and accurate management of data across multiple defence bases. This role involves coordinating activities related to GEMS data load management, managing the project support services (PSS) inbox, and controlling objective documents. You will play a crucial role in maintaining data integrity and facilitating effective communication and documentation processes across the project.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the loading, verification, and validation of data in the GEMS system, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity by conducting regular audits and addressing any discrepancies.
  • Monitoring and managing the PSS inbox and ensuring that all incoming requests and communications are promptly addressed and routed to the appropriate team members.
  • Maintaining and controlling all project-related documents within the objective document management system.
  • Generating and distributing regular and ad-hoc reports as required by the Project Data Services Manager, and providing insights and analysis to support decision-making processes.
  • Working collaboratively with various stakeholders, including project team members, defence personnel, and external contractors, to ensure seamless data management and project support services.
  • Ensuring all data management and documentation processes comply with applicable regulations, standards, and policies.
  • Providing training and support to project team members on data management processes, GEMS system usage, and document control procedures.

About you

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A qualification in Data Management, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in data coordination or a similar role, particularly within a Defence or large-scale project environment, is essential.
  • Experience with GEMS, Objective, or similar systems is highly regarded.
  • Proficiency in data management software, project management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders and present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of data management and documentation.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, and the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.

You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
