ABOUT GEMCO

Located on the tropical Groote Eylandt in the Northern Territory, GEMCO is an open-cut mine that is accountable for over 15% of the world's manganese ore production. Groote Eylandt is home to the Anindilyakwa people, who are the traditional owners of the land and have been working alongside GEMCO since 1963.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is a Permanent position on a 4:3 roster, FIFO from Darwin or Cairns.

As the Data Product Owner, you will be responsible for managing applications, data platforms and integrations to ensure seamless delivery, optimisation, and operational performance aligned with business objectives.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:

  • Overseeing application integrations to enable seamless data flow
  • Driving automation, self-service capabilities & proactive monitoring
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to enhance business processes
  • Managing vendor relationships to maintain service standards

ABOUT YOU

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

  • Managing data platforms & application ecosystems
  • Experience with Azure Data Platform & Microsoft Power BI
  • Working knowledge of API management & integration technologies
  • Familiarity with SAP, Microsoft Dynamics & cloud platforms such as Databricks
  • Working with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies
  • Stakeholder engagement with strong communication skills

Qualifications for this position are:

  • Bachelor's degree in technology or related field (preferred)
