About the Role

Teys Australia is
seeking a Group Purchasing Assistant to join our Operations Support
team based at Group Support Services (GSS) in Eight Mile Plains,
Brisbane.

Reporting to the
Group Purchasing Supervisor, this position will assist in sourcing
competitive pricing for consumables, packaging and maintenance supplies, ensuring
accuracy and integrity of our JD Edwards inventory system.

The
successful candidate will ensure new items are approved through Teys' supplier
approval process before entering the plant. The role will also support
quotation requests, purchase orders and generate group tender reports.

Additionally,
the role will monitor stock levels by cross-referencing with site data and maintaining
strong supplier relationships, following up on incorrect deliveries and delays.

About You

It is essential that you have the
following experience/skills:

  • Proven
    experience in store management in a manufacturing environment or willingness to
    undertake training to perform the required duties.
  • Advanced
    computer and numeracy skills.

Desirable:

  • Advanced
    spreadsheet in MS Excel
  • Relevant
    meat industry experience.
  • Experience
    with various inventory systems
