YOUR ROLE
As a Purchasing & Inventory Assistant, you'll provide vital support to the Purchasing and Inventory Teams, ensuring smooth operations across order management, supplier liaison, and inventory processes. Your day to day will include managing the purchasing mailbox, processing order confirmations, tracking orders to ensure timely delivery, and assisting with international freight coordination and cost analysis. You'll also support cycle counts, despatch queries, and stock location issues while maintaining accurate registers and reporting.
You'll prepare weekly overdue purchase order reports, maintain supplier relationships to secure the best outcomes, and assist with general administration when required. Accuracy, timeliness, and professionalism will be at the core of your role, helping the wider team focus on strategic purchasing and inventory initiatives.
ABOUT YOU
You are organised, proactive, and thrive in a fast paced operations environment. With prior experience in purchasing, supply chain, or inventory support roles, you're confident using ERP systems (Pronto experience highly regarded) and advanced Excel to manage data with accuracy. You communicate clearly, manage competing priorities with ease, and have a customer focused mindset that ensures service excellence.
You're a natural team player who can also work independently, showing initiative and problem solving ability. With strong attention to detail and time management skills, you take ownership of your tasks and pride yourself on delivering accurate results. Reliable transport, strong computer literacy, and a professional approach round out your ability to contribute effectively to a high performing operations team.
