About us:
Neil Perry's restaurant, Bar Torino, is seeking an experienced Bar Manager to lead our dynamic team.
Part of the Margaret Restaurant family, hidden beneath Gran Torino, Bar Torino is where aperitivo turns into dinner, and dinner into drinks. Dine downstairs in the intimate basement or soak up the Double Bay street vibes on the alfresco terrace - it's perfect for Aperitivo hour, cocktails, and everything in between.
Applicants must be highly motivated team players with strong knowledge and interest in beverage and must have a positive attitude to excel in this fun, fast-paced and convivial atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing daily operations, including venue setup, service periods, and pack down/reset procedures.
Ensuring that bartenders are trained in service standards, food and beverage knowledge, and operational procedures. Providing ongoing education to maintain high service quality.
Ensuring that guests consistently receive the highest level of service that reflects the Bar Torino brand.
Supervising lower-level staff during shifts, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining a positive and professional work environment.
Requirements:
2+ years' experience in high volume, detail-orientated bars or restaurants.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire team members
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
RSA certification
To excel in this position, you should possess strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. While previous management experience is preferred, we are open to considering candidates who demonstrate a passion for hospitality and a commitment to maintaining the Bar Torino reputation.
