We're looking for a Bar Manager to lead and grow our bar team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll take ownership of bar operations, drive team performance, and ensure guests receive top-tier service every time. You'll be managing a core team of 5 staff plus casuals, and collaborating closely with other departments to maintain a seamless guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and motivate the bar team to deliver exceptional service
  • Manage rosters, wages, and staffing levels to align with budget and trade
  • Oversee bar operations including stock control, ordering, cleanliness and presentation
  • Support and participate in promotions, events, and internal sales competitions
  • Ensure compliance with all liquor licensing, RSA and health & safety regulations
  • Maintain high service standards, with a focus on achieving 4.9+ Google reviews
  • Jump in to assist other departments when required – we work as one team

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in bar or hospitality management
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced environment
  • A fun, engaging personality with a hands-on approach
  • Basic cocktail and mixology knowledge
  • Strong customer service focus and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences
  • Experience with training and developing junior staff is highly regarded
  • Flexibility to work across a 5-day rotating roster, including evenings and weekends
