About Us

Since opening in December 2023, The Caterpillar Club has become renowned for its electric atmosphere and eclectic celebration of world music, great drinks and late night food. A truly unique live music venue with performances six nights a week showcasing talent from Australia and abroad. Some of Sydney's best DJ's spin vinyl daily drawing from our curated collection of 12,000 records and their own deep crates. The venue offers an experience unlike anything else in the city.

Our bar is the heart of the venue, boasting:

• An extensive back bar selection.
• A substantial signature cocktail list of playful reimagined classics.
• A carefully curated wine list with a big focus on Champagne.
• A sophisticated supper menu of classic bar food available until late daily.
• Our own drinks lab, with some great equipment including a centrifuge.

As a team we strive to create unforgettable experiences for every guest, every night.

About the Role

As Bar Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the guest experience and leading our team. Reporting directly to the General Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and inspiring a high-performing team during fast-paced, late-night services.
• Overseeing a high-volume, cocktail-focused beverage program, ensuring impeccable quality and consistency.
• Contributing creatively to our drinks menu while maintaining the high standards that define us.
• Building a positive, inclusive team culture centered on growth, collaboration, and a shared passion for hospitality.

We currently offer 4-day workweek and we always take into consideration work life balance. While some late-night shifts are part of the job, you'll have the time to recharge and enjoy life outside of work.

About You

We're searching for a hospitality professional who is passionate about creating exceptional guest experiences. Key qualities we're looking for include:

• Extensive experience in premium, high-volume venues, with a demonstrated track record of leadership
• Comprehensive beverage knowledge, with a particular focus on cocktails, you have an eye for quality and creativity.
• Strong people management skills, with the ability to foster positive team dynamics.
• A commitment to building a workplace culture that values diversity, inclusivity, and innovation.
