  • Permanent role - Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
  • $37.10 per hour + superannuation

As a the lead of meal services at Lewisham Nursing Home, you will coordinate the meal plating, heating and distribution of food to our residents ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction. You will oversee catering operations including leading a team of catering assistants, ensuring best practice food service, preparation, cleanliness and documentation.

About the Role:

  • Receiving meals from our offsite kitchen.
  • Plating & heating meals for residents
  • Leading a team of catering assistants
  • Distributing meals to residents

To be successful in this role you'll need

  • A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
  • Comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people
  • Good communication skills
  • Simple cooking experience - plating and reheating
  • Food Safety Practices Certificate
  • Good understanding of food safety practices
  • Understanding of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) preferred
  • Team leadership, able to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision
  • Able to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families
  • NDIS and Police check clearance or willing to obtain
