Job Title: Senior Housekeeping Supervisor

Location: Sydney CBD, 5-Star Property

Purpose:

As a Senior Housekeeping Supervisor, you play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department. You will ensure that rooms and public areas meet the highest cleanliness standards while leading and supporting a team of attendants. Your strong leadership, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence will help deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision & Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and supervise housekeeping attendants to maintain top-tier cleanliness and presentation standards.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular room and public area inspections to ensure compliance with established cleanliness and presentation guidelines.
  • Training & Development: Provide training to housekeeping staff, reinforcing best practices, safety procedures, and efficiency techniques.
  • Scheduling & Task Allocation: Assist in staff scheduling and daily work assignments to optimize efficiency and workload distribution.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Address and resolve guest concerns related to housekeeping promptly and professionally.
  • Inventory & Supplies Management: Monitor stock levels of cleaning products, linens, and guest supplies, ensuring timely replenishment.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all housekeeping activities align with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the front office and maintenance teams to coordinate room readiness and report maintenance issues.
  • Performance Monitoring: Evaluate staff performance, provide constructive feedback, and support professional growth within the team.

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a housekeeping supervisory role within a 4-star or 5-star hotel.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and motivational abilities to guide and develop a team.
  • Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to cleanliness and quality standards.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective team and guest interactions.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to handle guest concerns and operational challenges efficiently.
  • Physical Endurance: Capable of handling active duties, including walking, bending, and lifting.
  • Team Player: Works well with colleagues across departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Availability: Must be available to work at least 3 weekdays + weekends.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $29.88 – $67.23 per hour
