Our team is comprised of specialist fire protection professionals, contractors, plumbers, sprinkler fitters and electricians who not only install, but also maintain and provide ongoing support for your fire protection system.

About the Role

This is a full time, permanent opportunity for a licensed Electrician to join our Contract Project Division, based out of Heatherbrae. Working a Monday to Friday roster, you'll be part of a dedicated team installing and commissioning a wide range of fire systems across multiple mine and commercial sites.

This is a hands on, field based role focused on the installation of fire electrical systems for commercial and mining projects. The position involves working across new installations, commissioning, diagnostics and ensuring systems meet compliance and safety standards.

You'll be working with some of the industry's best known technologies, including:

  • Notifier, Pertronics and VESDA systems
  • Conventional and addressable fire detection systems
  • Emergency warning and evacuation systems
  • Fire indicator panels and pump controls
  • Gaseous suppression systems

We're looking for domestic or industrial electricians who are keen to transition into the Fire industry. Fire is the way of the future, with regulations tightening and demand for qualified professionals increasing, it's one of the most stable and secure career paths available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, wire and terminate fire detection, suppression and emergency warning systems on commercial and mining projects
  • Interpret drawings, specifications and scope documents to deliver installations in line with project requirements
  • Commission fire electrical systems, completing functional testing and verification to Australian Standards
  • Accurately complete project documentation, test records, compliance reports and client handover materials
  • Liaise with project managers, site supervisors, and clients to coordinate works and provide progress updates

Experience and Qualifications

  • Electrical Trade Qualification
  • NSW Electrical Licence
  • Excellent workmanship, reliability, attention to detail and ability to work in a team
  • A high standard of safety and a commitment to continual improvement
  • An ability to work independently with a high level of communication and customer service skills
  • An ability to prioritise and arrange service tasks and accurately complete service related documentation
  • Manual Drivers Licence

  • Work at Heights Certification
  • Low Voltage/First Aid Certification
  • CPR Certifications
