Industrial Electrician – Permanent Role | Kooragang Island

Are you a safety-focused, technically skilled electrician looking for a long-term opportunity in a dynamic industrial environment? We’re seeking a motivated Industrial Electrician to join a well-established site on Kooragang Island. This is a permanent role offering stability, growth, and the chance to take ownership of modern electrical infrastructure.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Perform general electrical duties across workshop and production areas
- Troubleshoot and maintain industrial systems including material handling systems (conveyors, elevators), PLCs, SCADA, and automated production equipment, motors, VSDs, soft starters, and load cell transducers
- Operate HV switchgear and interpret electrical schematics
- Scope work, liaise with suppliers, and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to prioritise maintenance tasks

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

- NSW Electrical Supervisor License
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Safety-first mindset and ability to lead by example
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Excellent communication and planning skills

Highly Desirable:

- HV Operator Certificate
- PLC programming experience (Allen Bradley RS Logix)
- SAP and Microsoft Office proficiency
- Instrumentation experience
- HRWL Boom Type EWP, Work at Heights, First Aid, LVR/CPR
