The Opportunity
As part of the Distribution team within the Real Estate Credit division of La Trobe Financial, you will report into the National Sales Manager and will oversee the Victorian BDM team working to sell one of the broadest mortgage product suites available in today's market.
Key elements of this role will be the maintenance of La Trobe Financials' existing and new relationships introduced through accredited national aggregator groups and mortgage brokers for you and the team.
The expectation will be to improve the customer experience from its already high standards. Ability to self-manage and achieve sales targets is integral to the role as is your ability to manage the team's workload within agreed SLA's.
Key Responsibilities
- Grow and Maintain the third-party mortgage broker network for residential and commercial mortgages
- Manage portfolio of brokers and aggregator groups to achieve set targets, enhance existing relationships and further build portfolio
- Manage the SMCP team to deliver required SLA's
- Providing the SMCP team with initiatives and solutions to achieve results
- Promoting La Trobe Financial in a professional manner and demonstrating La Trobe Financial's corporate values at all times
- Face-to-face selling activities with 'strategy targets'
- Developing and maintaining effective business relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Ensuring effective resolution of complaints
- Any other tasks as requested by your direct Executive
About You
This role requires the successful applicant to possess a minimum of 10+ years' experience in a similar role with a strong understanding and experience in Residential and Commercial Mortgages. Additional skills and experience required include:
- Diploma in Mortgage Lending or equivalent
- Experience in sales and proven ability to network and build relationships
- Ability to identify priorities in line with business goals
- Ability to effectively undertake all levels of the sales process; Broker, Aggregator and Referrers
- Motivate a team to achieve SLA's
- Ability to manage team results and address non-performance if required
- Passionate about people and have the ability to deliver excellent customer service
- Strong leadership skills to manage the staff supporting you and to self-manage
- Be results oriented with a proven ability to meet and exceed business goals
- Ability to contribute in Leadership meetings
