Head of Acquisitions and Disposals

This critical role will involve overseeing all acquisition and disposals, ensuring that our portfolio continues to grow strategically and sustainably. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the real estate market, exceptional negotiation skills, and a proven track record in securing optimal agreements and acquisitions of properties. The role demands a strategic thinker who can analyse market trends and opportunities, develop comprehensive acquisition and disposal strategies, and drive performance through innovative approaches.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans for acquisition and conduct market research and analysis to identify potential opportunities and targets
- Negotiate agreements and purchase contracts to ensure favourable terms and conditions, including all aspects of due diligence
- Build and maintain relationships with property owners, brokers, and key industry stakeholders
- Collaborate with internal teams including property, legal, and development to align acquisition and disposal strategies with overall business goals
- Monitor and analyse market trends, rental rates, and property values to inform decision-making
- Lead, mentor, and manage the acquisitions & disposals team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in leasing, acquisitions, disposals or real estate investment
- Proven track record in negotiating complex agreements, disposal and purchase transactions
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess market conditions and financial viability
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building rapport with diverse stakeholders
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience in managing diverse teams to achieve strategic objectives
- In-depth knowledge of real estate laws, regulations, and compliance requirements Australia wide
