Learning Technologist – Project

About the Role

The Education Innovation Exchange (EIX) team at Swinburne are seeking a proactive Learning Technologist (Learning Ecosystems) to join the team and play a key role in supporting the successful implementation of key digital learning tools as part of Swinburne's First Year Refresh Program (FYRP), with an initial focus on the FeedbackFruits suite.

In this role, you will contribute to Phase 1 IT readiness, functional requirements of documentation, user acceptance testing (UAT), and pilot delivery, ensuring technical, operational, and educator-facing readiness for institutional rollout.

Reporting to the Manager, Learning Ecosystems and collaborating with Learning Transformation staff, you will coordinate across FeedbackFruits and other learning tools, provide technical and operational documentation, and collaborate with IT Services, Information Security, and Procurement to ensure compliance and quality assurance standards are met.

About You

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

• Demonstrated experience in working with Learning Management Systems (LMSs) and Learning Technology. Experience with Canvas is preferred.
• Proven experience in coordinating pilot implementations or technology rollouts in tertiary contexts.
• Demonstrated ability to gather and document technical requirements and support cross-functional teams (IT, Security, Procurement) with experience in vendor engagement and UAT processes.
• Ability to train and support academic and teaching staff in the use of the Canvas LMS and learning technologies for online and blended learning and assessment, and to respond to support tickets.
• Demonstrated experience and interest in exploring and adopting innovative learning technologies and collaborating with small and large teams.
