About the Role
The Education, Experience & Employability team are seeking a dynamic Executive Officer to join the leadership team and play a pivotal role in delivering strategic guidance and operational support for the portfolio of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (DVC) Education, Experience, and Employability (EEE).
As the Executive Officer, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth analysis, research, and project management related to key portfolio initiatives and legislative reporting. This role encompasses the preparation of high-quality communications, reports, and presentations on behalf of the DVC EEE. Additionally, you will manage specific projects and monitor relevant issues and activities within the portfolio and may also be involved in representing the DVC EEE on various university-wide committees and ensuring cross-functional projects are on track.
To succeed in this role, you will possess a comprehensive understanding of the tertiary sector's challenges and trends, both nationally and internationally. You will have strong analytical, leadership and project management skills, combined with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Demonstrated experience providing high-level executive and operational support to senior leaders.
- Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Sound understanding of the higher education sector, including student experience, employability, and education transformation initiatives.
- Proven ability to achieve change through collaborative and collegial processes, and manage significant projects and change initiatives to completion within the agreed timeframes and budget.
- Confident in navigating complex governance and reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of outcomes.
- Well-developed strategic, analytical and conceptual skills, together with proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans and monitor impact and track targets.
Qualifications
- A relevant Masters qualification and extensive relevant experience or equivalent qualification and/or substantial relevant experience in a clinical discipline.
- Membership of an appropriate professional body is preferred.
