About the role
We're seeking a motivated Account Manager (Field Sales) to join us on a 12-month fixed term contract, with the opportunity for a permanent role for those who demonstrate success. Perfect role for someone who has just started their Account Manager journey and is looking for an opportunity to prove themselves
From November, you'll take responsibility for managing approximately 15 customers across Melbourne who are joining our portfolio through an acquisition. The core of the role is to provide these customers with the same high level of service they are used to, while also identifying opportunities to grow their business with us.
This is a hands-on, customer-first position where you'll combine service, account growth and business development to ensure long-term success.
What you'll be doing
- Conduct regular site visits to maintain strong relationships
- Check inventory levels, recommend replenishment volumes, and ensure product availability
- Suggest range extensions and new products to increase customer value
- Facilitate orders via our offshore customer service team
- Deliver consistent service to ensure a smooth transition for acquired customers
- Identify growth opportunities within accounts and the wider territory
- Collaborate with the sales field team to support portfolio expansion
What we're looking for
- Minimum 1-2 years' field sales experience (FMCG, food services or packaging preferred)
- Proven success in account management and customer relationship building
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated with excellent planning and organisation abilities
- Proficiency with CRM systems and MS Office Suite
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel across Melbourne
