Responsibilities
As an Amazon Senior Finance Analyst, you will a site controller for Fulfillment Centers, as well as driving network wide initiatives, reporting, and cost analysis. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Uncovering Insights, Driving Optimization: Delve deep into financial data and operational metrics, meticulously analyzing trends, risks, and opportunities across individual Fulfillment Centers (FCs) and our broader fulfillment network. Your keen analytical abilities will uncover hidden insights that catalyze transformative change.

Mastering Financial Modeling and Forecasting: Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models and forecasts to empower strategic decision-making. From FC budgeting to headcount planning and capital expenditure, your financial expertise will be instrumental in driving data-driven decisions.

Collaborative Financial Reporting and Analysis: Partner closely with FC Controllers and Operations leaders, providing them with insightful financial reports, variance analysis, and strategic recommendations that inform their decision-making.

Shaping Network-Level Strategy: Lend your financial acumen to network-level strategic planning, assessing the financial implications of network design, capacity changes, and other operational initiatives. Your insights will be pivotal as we chart the course for the future of our fulfillment network.

Cross-Functional Collaboration for Innovation: Participate in dynamic, cross-functional teams, evaluating the financial impact of new processes, technologies, or business models for our FC operations. Your ability to bridge the gap between finance and operations will be key to driving innovative solutions.

Continuous Improvement and Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements that enhance our financial reporting, visibility, and decision support capabilities. Your passion for optimization will help us stay ahead of the curve in a rapidly evolving industry.

About The Team
Our Team Operates out of Sydney and Melbourne Corporate Office and we travel to the sites we support when required.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
  • Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
  • Experience working with stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
  • Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
