Role Overview

The Senior Investment Analyst plays a critical role in the firm's investment process, contributing significantly to the identification, evaluation, and monitoring of investment opportunities across multiple asset classes, [e.g., equities, fixed income, private markets, multi-asset strategies]. This position requires a highly analytical and meticulous professional with a proven track record of conducting rigorous research, developing robust financial models, and generating actionable insights that directly inform investment decisions. This Senior Investment Analyst will operate with increased autonomy, contribute to strategic discussions, and may provide guidance to junior analysts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investment Research & Due Diligence:
• Conduct comprehensive fundamental research and quantitative analysis on target companies, industries, and macroeconomic trends to identify compelling investment opportunities or potential risks.
• Perform in-depth financial statement analysis, competitive landscape assessments, and management team evaluations.
• Lead or significantly contribute to the due diligence process for new investments, coordinating with internal teams and external advisors (e.g., legal, accounting, technical consultants).

• Maintain a deep understanding of relevant market dynamics, regulatory changes, and technological advancements impacting target sectors or asset classes.

• Financial Modelling & Valuation:

• Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models, including valuation models (DCF, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions), LBO models (for private markets), and scenario analyses to support investment recommendations.
• Perform sensitivity analyses and stress testing to assess potential risks and returns under various market conditions.

• Translate complex data and financial projections into clear, concise, and defensible investment theses.

• Reporting & Presentation:

• Prepare high-quality investment memoranda, reports, and presentations for the Investment Committee, senior management, and internal stakeholders.
• Articulate complex investment rationale and findings clearly and persuasively, both verbally and in written form.

• Contribute to regular performance reporting and commentary for existing portfolio holdings.

• Portfolio Monitoring & Value Creation:

• Continuously monitor the performance of existing portfolio investments, identifying key drivers of value and potential areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with portfolio management teams to assess strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and exit planning for portfolio companies.

• Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics of portfolio assets.

• Mentorship & Collaboration:

• Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to junior Analysts, fostering their professional development and ensuring the quality of their analytical output.
• Foster strong collaborative relationships with colleagues across investment teams, risk management, operations, and investor relations.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or CFA designation highly preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or strategic partnerships.
• Demonstrated success in structuring and managing complex joint ventures or strategic alliances.
• Strong knowledge of financial modelling, M&A principles, and legal JV frameworks.
• Experience with cross-border transactions and regulatory environments is highly desirable.
• Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling and data analysis.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
