Adelaide, South Australia Dr DJ Walters Full time $60,000 - $80,000 per year

We are seeking a part time, experienced medical receptionist who can provide a high level of support to a busy general surgeon & his patients.

The successful candidate will bring an outstanding level of professionalism, skill & courtesy to the following responsibilities, which include, but are not limited to;

  • Answering the phone, making appointments & coordinating any necessary patient investigations;
  • Theatre list bookings;
  • Preparing for & running consulting sessions & breast clinics;
  • Practice correspondence & communication;
  • Upholding a positive & cohesive workplace culture;
  • Op Billing, quoting & patient accounts, including liaising with Health Funds & Medicare, where necessary;
  • Managing Dr Walters' diary;
  • Maintenance of rooms stock lists;
  • Ultrasound downloads;
  • Recall maintenance;
  • Regular Practice Audits.

All responsibilities will be carried out in accordance with Practice policy & procedures.

In addition, the successful candidate must have;

  • An outstanding level of sensitivity and care to our patients;
  • Experience in Genie;
  • An exceptional level of attention to detail;
  • Flexibility to cover for leave;
  • Being a strong team player, with the ability to work autonomously and prioritise accordingly;
  • The ability to work calmly under pressure.

The position reports to the Practice Manager on all administrative matters & to Dr Walters on any clinical matters.

This position will be subject to a 6 month probationary period and a satisfactory Police Clearance, which is less than 12 months old.
