Medical Receptionist

The role:

This role is diverse, fast-moving, and rewarding. You'll be at the heart of the clinic—coordinating appointments, managing patient communications, and ensuring the day runs smoothly across multiple practitioners and treatment types.

We are searching for an experienced and passionate Clinical Receptionist with previous experience in a similar role. You would be joining a collaborative team who are dedicated to their client's skin journey and instilling confidence from within.

This role requires a Clinical Receptionist that brings experience from a medical or similar client service role, demonstrating hands-on skills in a healthcare environment and a strong ability to build relationships and provide excellent customer service. Their basic knowledge of Medicare services and claiming processes is complemented by an understanding of Zedmed or similar clinical databases, highlighting their capability in managing patient information and navigating medical software efficiently.

The duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Respond to telephone and email enquiries in a professional and timely manner
• Greet and liaise with clients, ensuring a personalised service is delivered in each interaction
• Manage feedback that is escalated from the team or clients to ensure quick resolution that exceeds client expectations
• Be aware of service times (waiting and treatment times) to ensure that the experience for each client is not compromised
• Ensure all clinic waiting areas, POS materials, merchandising, and displays are clean and presentable
• Maintain all relevant systems and all client information up to date
• Maintain patient records and files ensuring they are up-to-date and organised
• Schedule client appointments and follow-up in an efficient manner
• Organise and consolidate billing and receipts
• Perform opening and closing procedures as required
• Complete daily and weekly banking and reconciling of accounts
• Provide reporting related to clinic operations as required
