Asset Remarketing Manager

The Role:
Start your next career chapter with Manheim Industrial, a leader in the auctioneering industry. We're looking for a full-time Asset Remarketing Manager (our internal job title is Project Manager) to join our high-performing National Service Delivery Team, based at our Altona auction site.
In this newly created role, you'll bring your passion for trucks and heavy equipment to the forefront, taking ownership of asset remarketing and supporting our dynamic sales team. Your proactive approach will be key in delivering seamless, end-to-end asset divestment projects for our valued clients.
This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a self-starter to shape and grow their role and career - driving innovation, delivering value, and making a real impact in the auction and remarketing industry.
Responsibilities:
· With passion and accountability, lead the development and execution of remarketing strategies for trucks and heavy machinery, aligning with service delivery goals and online auction presence to maximise asset visibility and value.
· Manage and coordinate cross-functional teams - including Project Management, Operations, Valuations and Sales - to deliver end-to-end asset divestment projects and innovative client solutions.
· Understand buyer behaviour and market segments to ensure assets are effectively positioned and represented, driving buyer engagement and auction participation by minimising information gaps at auction.
· Support national service delivery through regular interstate and regional travel, ensuring consistent execution and client satisfaction across locations.
· Support the Valuations Team and develop your capability and experience providing asset valuations to eventually hold a valuations qualification.
· Mentor and train team members, fostering continuous improvement and process optimisation across project, valuations and operational functions.
Skills & Experience:
· Experience in the Australian auction market, truck or equipment dealerships, or a related qualification in Marketing, Project Management, Business, or Asset Management (preferred but not essential).
· A strong interest or background in trucks and machinery, with a willingness to continually learn about equipment and market trends will ensure success in this role.
· Self-motivated and independent, with the ability to take initiative while aligning with strategic business and client objectives.
· Proven leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to guide cross-functional teams and deliver successful project outcomes and overall accountability.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, ensuring alignment, transparency, and effective expectation management throughout the project, sales support and account management lifecycle.
· A strong safety mindset, positive attitude, and the ability to interpret and respond to the needs of both peers and customers whilst effectively communicating with senior management.
· Confident using digital tools, including ERP systems like SAP, and mobile applications.
· Willingness to undergo background checks (Police and Work Rights) and a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing. Random onsite testing may also be conducted.
