About the Company

Our client is a prominent Law Firm based in the heart of Sydney CBD. They operate across Corporate, Commercial Advisory as well as Finance and Property transactions, mergers and acquisitions and commercial litigation.

About the Role

They are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Human Resources Manager to join their firm based in Sydney CBD. This is a part-time opportunity working 3 days per week based on-site.

Partnering with the Senior Leadership team, you will be required to establish and oversee all HR functions within the firm, providing strategic and operational HR support, driving best practice and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements. This opportunity would also suit an experienced HR Generalist looking to take ownership of the HR function in a collaborative, corporate and professional environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, and off boarding.
  • Advise on and manage employee relations matters and performance issues.
  • Coordinate and implement training and development initiatives.
  • Oversee and enhance performance management systems and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all employment laws and workplace policies.
  • Maintain and update HR policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to HRIS implementation projects
  • Support workplace culture and employee engagement initiatives.

About You

  • Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders across all levels
  • Superior organisational skills and the ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage deadlines effectively
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office suite and Sentrient or similar HRIS systems is highly regarded.
  • Proactive, hands on and solutions focused
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism

Requirements

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Human Resources or an equivalent field
  • Demonstrated HR Manager OR HR Generalist experience
  • Thorough knowledge and experience across HR functions including Recruitment, Employee Relations, Training and Development and Performance Management
  • Strong understanding of Australian employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to review, develop and implement HR policies.
  • Previous experience in a law firm or professional services environment will be well regarded but is not essential.
