As we grow from a family-run business into a professionally structured enterprise, we know our success depends on our people. We're looking for a Human Resources Manager to lead our People & Culture function and help shape the future of our workforce.
About the Role
This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role, responsible for all aspects of HR across our 90–100 employees. Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll oversee recruitment, onboarding, compliance, training, performance, culture, and employee relations. You'll also act as the key liaison with our external payroll provider, ensuring smooth coordination between payroll and our managers.
You'll work closely with depot managers, corporate staff, and the executive team to build a high-performing, values-driven culture that supports sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead workforce planning, recruitment, and onboarding across all teams
• Ensure compliance with Fair Work Act, WHS, and relevant awards
• Maintain and update HR policies, contracts, and procedures
• Provide expert guidance on employee relations, grievances, and performance
• Design and implement training and development pathways
• Drive culture and engagement initiatives that support retention and connection
• Liaise with external payroll provider and support managers with payroll queries
• Oversee HR administration and employee records management
• Partner with the CEO on leadership development and succession planning
What We're Looking For
• HR or People & Culture qualifications, ideally at degree level
• 5+ years' experience in HR or People & Culture leadership roles
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and compliance
• Hands-on experience supporting operations team and support staff
• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
• Resilient, pragmatic, and able to lead change in a growing business
• Experience in transport, logistics, or industrial sectors (preferred)
• Willingness to travel to regional depot sites across NSW and QLD
