  • Experience operating sheet metal machinery
  • Experience working with the assembly of products
  • Drivers Licence - Essential
  • Forklift Licence - Desirable

Reporting to the Production Manager, as Powdercoating Team Leader, you are responsible for the efficient running of the powdercoating line and when the powdercoating line is quiet - assisting with assembly of products, packing and dispatching goods, all within our LEAN and QMS procedures.

Position Responsibilities

  • Following the powdercoating schedule
  • Working with the Supply Coordinator to adjust the schedule where needed
  • Inputting data about the progress of the jobs
  • Submitting consumable purchase requests,
  • Allocating human resources on day to day processes
  • Maintenance and cleanliness of the powdercoating line
  • Managing and completing any re-works
  • Assembling products
  • Packing and dispatching products
  • Ensuring your work area is orderly, clean, neat & tidy at all times - adhering to 5S principles
  • Ensuring you comply with all OH&S responsibilities
  • Provide feedback to the production manager as to the status of your workload and completion level.
  • Using your initiative to identify and suggest new and improved ways to operate within the factory.
  • Escalate issues to management should you be dissatisfied with the results of your feedback.
  • Delivery of goods as required
  • Willing to learn and operate other sheet metal manufacturing machinery and processes
  • Other duties as required by the Production Manager

Pre-Requisites for Position

  • Powdercoating experience
  • Common Sense
  • Practical approach to problem solving
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Driver's Licence
  • Forklift Licence (preferrable)
