We are seeking a well-motivated and proactive team player that will excel within our dynamic and growing General Transport Operations team at our Acacia Ridge Head Office. The Transport Operations Officer provides administrative and logistical support to ensure the smooth and efficient running of transport operations. This role involves customer service both over the phone and email, booking in jobs and liaising with drivers and allocators to provide excellent service to our customers.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer inbound phone calls and emails.
  • Enter job bookings.
  • Support allocators with communication to customers and drivers.
  • Resolve delivery or collection issues promptly and professionally.
  • Assist in ensuring facility is safe, clean and maintained in a tidy state.
  • Work to promote safe work practices and safe working environments.

Skills, experience and qualifications essential for the role:

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Customer Service skills.
  • Basic administration skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Operational knowledge in a general freight transport business.
  • A team player who is reliable, punctual, and takes initiative.
  • A well-motivated attitude, proactive nature and a willingness to learn.
