A well-regarded organisation within the marine and industrial services sector is seeking a skilled People and Culture Advisor to join their team. Description

Reporting to the HR Manager, the People and Culture Advisor will support a range of day-to-day and strategic people initiatives. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing practical and timely advice on a broad range of employee relations (ER) and industrial relations (IR) matters
  • Managing HR processes across the full employee lifecycle onboarding, induction, employee movements, and offboarding
  • Maintaining and updating HR records, employee files, and HRIS data with accuracy and confidentiality
  • Supporting domestic and international recruitment activities, including attraction, selection, and onboarding
  • Preparing contracts, processing variations, and assisting with documentation

Profile

The successful candidate will be a confident HR generalist who can balance operational support with sound HR advisory. Ideally, you will bring:

  • Previous experience in an HR Advisor or similar generalist role
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment law, ER/IR, and recruitment practices, with particular expertise in performance management and grievance handling.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively within a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, Humanforce) and Microsoft Office
