BigLaw Banking Role - Relocate to New York from Australia

We've been instructed by a leading BigLaw firm in New York to find a mid-level Banking Associate with strong transactional experience. This is a rare opportunity for Australian lawyers to transition into the US market and work on high-value, cross-border finance deals with global impact.

The team advises major financial institutions, sponsors, and corporates on complex syndicated lending, acquisition finance, and private credit transactions. You'll be expected to take ownership of workstreams, manage deal execution, and engage directly with clients and counterparties.

What you'll need:

  • Australian-qualified lawyer with 4+ years of debt finance experience
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills
  • Experience in sponsored finance, direct lending, or leveraged finance preferred
  • Commercial mindset and ability to manage multiple workstreams
  • Willingness to relocate to New York and pursue US bar admission (support available)
