About the Role

Our client is looking for a Legal Counsel to provide practical and strategic advice across a wide variety of legal and commercial matters. This is a unique opportunity for a lawyer who enjoys being a true generalist, working on everything from contracts and regulatory compliance to employment and intellectual property. You'll partner with internal teams to enable innovation and service delivery, while supporting good governance and protecting the organisation's mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements
• Provide advice on privacy, data protection, intellectual property and cybersecurity issues
• Support governance, risk and compliance frameworks across the organisation
• Monitor legal developments and contribute to policy and process improvements
• Collaborate with colleagues across business units on projects that drive social impact

About You

• 7+ years' PQE, in-house experience (advantageous)
• Strong commercial generalist background, with the ability to juggle varied workstreams
• A solutions-focused, pragmatic advisor who enjoys partnering with the business
• Excellent communicator, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders
• Current Australian practising certificate
