What you will be responsible for?
Reporting directly to our People & Culture Director, the role sits as part of our small and close-knit team of P&C professionals. The role is best described as hands-on, people focussed, operational with a high component of ER activity. We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate strong collaboration, operational excellence and a high-care factor for people. You will manage the operational responsibilities of the People & Culture function as it applies to our employees across Australia, New Zealand and offshore.
Working closely with key members of the broader business, you will interact with business leaders including leaders from our parent company in the UK and confidently represent the P&C function to internal and external stakeholders.
You must be willing to roll up your sleeves, get your hands dirty and critically, one of your key attributes will be the ability to consistently look at new and better ways of working. The flow of work is constant, varied, stimulating and all encompassing; onboarding, employee relations activities, L&D, remuneration and benefits to ensuring that all our people initiatives are executed to the highest standard.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the end to end operational functions within the People & Culture function to ensure initiatives are delivered and documented effectively
- Working closely with the Head of P&C and P&C Coordinator to deliver a seamless employee experience from start to finish
- Support business leaders on all employee relations matters to ensure we achieve compliance and care with our people
- Continually looking for ways to streamline and automate processes
- Preparation of reports, including but not limited to, data required for our UK parent company and Executive team
- Developing and updating company policies and driving engagement
Our ideal candidate
Our selection process is as much about your cultural fit to the business as it is about the alignment of skills and experience. We are looking for a People & Culture professional with relevant Tertiary qualifications and demonstrated experience as a HR Generalist who has proven experience with all aspects of Operations in the employee lifecycle.
Your strong organisational, verbal and conciliation skills and adherence to confidentiality will be a given. You will be required to think creatively about various projects and have a 'continuous improvement' mindset.
What will impress us is the ease in which you can quickly build positive working relationships, demonstrate a strong aptitude for processes and systems whilst applying some creative flair, an enthusiastic approach to delivering People & Culture initiatives along with a very high work ethic and commitment to achieving excellence. A good sense of humour and a focus on fun won't go astray either
