As a Graduate Researcher Academic Associate in the Faculty of Arts, you will have the opportunity to work closely with academic teaching teams, contributing to the quality of student experience and learning outcomes. You will engage in innovative educational practices, administer subjects, and inspire students across various disciplines, whilst developing your own professional skills through comprehensive training programmes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conduct High-Standard Tutorials: Deliver engaging tutorials using provided guidelines and content, and support students with additional resources.
- Manage Student Consultations: Provide regular consultations, respond to student queries, and manage requests in line with University policy.
- Administer Assessments: Assess student work, provide timely feedback, and manage assessment administration.
- Communicate and Collaborate: Attend meetings with Subject Coordinators and casual staff, and communicate potential issues effectively.

The incumbent will work directly with the academic teaching team and be responsible for carrying out education related activity for one or more subjects in one of the following areas:
- Arts History and Curatorship
- Arts and Cultural Management
- Classics and Archaeology
- Creative Writing
- English and Theatre Studies
- History
- History and Philosophy of Science
- Indigenous Studies
- Linguistics and Applied Linguistics
- Media and Communications
- Philosophy
- Screen and Cultural Studies
You will also:
- Be currently enrolled in a graduate research degree in the Faculty of Arts.
- Possess discipline and domain knowledge in your preferred subject area.
- Have excellent organisational skills to manage tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude towards professional development and learning.
- Uphold the University's expectations for respectful and inclusive behaviour.
