Australian Virtus Institute is a registered training organisation. Our college has a position for full-time, part-time or casual with vocational and industry experience to join our dynamic team.

Job Summary

We are looking for passionate Trainers and Assessors for the following qualifications within the discipline of Community Services:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support.
  • Certificate IV in Ageing Support
  • Diploma of Community Services

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver all aspects of accredited training and assessment in accordance with Standards for RTO's and the Australian Qualifications Framework specifications.
  • Apply a broad range of communication styles and methods to ensure an effective understanding of diverse clients in the training program.
  • Train, assess and support students throughout the course and during their placement.
  • Mark student assessments and provide constructive feedback.
  • Work with other Aged Care and disability organisations to assist students to placements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A strong passion for the aged care sector.
  • Confidence and motivation to deliver first-class face-to-face education
  • Sensitivity and ability to adapt teaching styles to students of different cultural backgrounds
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Exceptional time management and multi-tasking abilities
  • A high level of attention to quality and detail
  • A minimum of 2-years of recent industry experience in Aged Care.
  • Must hold Certificate III Individual Support or higher
  • COVID-19 Vaccination Mandatory
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 or higher or equivalent.
  • Current Police Check
