We are seeking an Organisational Development and Learning Consultant to be an integral part of our friendly and supportive team. Reporting to the Head of People and Culture, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives that enhance organisational capability, strengthen culture, and support employee development. This full time, permanent role is perfect for someone with a passion for building future culture and capability and is based within our beautiful grounds in Nudgee.

About the role

This is an exciting and unique role where you'll partner with People and Culture, and leaders and employees across the organisation to deliver impactful learning initiatives, leadership capability, workforce planning, and organisational effectiveness that enable and empower our people to perform to their highest potential. Contribute to the values-based, and collaborative culture across Mercy Community, and support the building of an engaged and capable workforce to meet the needs of those we serve.

What you'll be doing

Key responsibilities include:

  • You'll contribute to delivering on Mercy Community's People Strategy by supporting the Head of People and Culture and working in close collaboration across People and Culture
  • You'll collaborate on the design, implementation and evaluation of effective OD strategies, interventions and processes to facilitate desired business outcomes
  • You'll apply data gathering and analysis methodologies to understand organisational challenges and opportunities and to support evidence-based decision making and performance measurement
  • You'll support the Head of People and Culture to sponsor, develop and be able to challenge the organisation to create strategies for transformation, and innovation.
  • You'll oversee the Mercy Community learning framework in conjunction with the Head of People and Culture
  • You'll design, deliver, and evaluate learning solutions that address organisational capability needs and regulatory requirements
  • Implement and oversee leadership development frameworks, including leadership development initiatives, coaching, mentoring, and 70/20/10 learning principles
  • You'll capture, analyse and interpret employee learning data for reporting and evaluation, ensuring it is delivered and tracked effectively

About You

You'll build valuable connections within the community and have the opportunity to become part of a collaborative and dynamic work environment where your skills and contributions will be valued and recognized.

  • Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline e.g., Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or demonstrated relevant, equivalent professional experience
  • Relevant experience in diagnosing, designing, developing and implementing organisational development strategies and solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain trusted and respected relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills, verbal in a manner that is clear fluent and holds the listeners' attention; written and graphic with the ability to simplify complex information
  • Prior experience in implementing change at an organisational level.
  • Data-driven, and analytical with the ability to turn insights into practical solutions that drive impact
  • Demonstrated project management skills in the development of learning programs, with a capacity to scope realistic projects, meet timeframes and deliver outcomes
  • Collaborative, curious and inclusive mindset, with a passion for creating positive employee practices
  • Understanding of the NFP/community services sector and relevant modern awards, industrial instruments, and compliance frameworks is highly advantageous

Salary commensurate with experience plus superannuation plus generous salary packaging available
