Project Scheduler
An Australian R&D and manufacturing company developing advanced defence and industrial systems is expanding its team and now hiring a Project Scheduler to support engineering projects as they scale into full production.
This role does not require a production or manufacturing scheduling background. Instead, it is focused on engineering project scheduling, developing integrated schedules, tracking milestones, and managing dependencies across complex technical programs. It is well suited to candidates from civil engineering, infrastructure, defence projects, or other engineering-focused environments where coordinating multiple stakeholders and keeping complex projects on track is critical.
This is a full-time, Adelaide-based role with excellent access to public transport and parking.
Full relocation is required for interstate candidates; cost assistance is provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain project schedules covering engineering and technical programs.
- Track milestones, dependencies, and deliverables to ensure alignment with program goals.
- Provide schedule updates, critical path analysis, and reporting to stakeholders.
- Coordinate with engineering, design, and production teams to align resources effectively.
- Identify risks, delays, and bottlenecks, and communicate impacts clearly.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in scheduling practices and reporting.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Project Scheduler, Project Planner, or Scheduler in an engineering environment (civil, infrastructure, defence, or similar).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, making timely and practical scheduling decisions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Must be an Australian citizen.
Desirable but not essential:
- Background in large, multi-disciplinary engineering projects where milestone and dependency management are critical.
- Experience in earned value management, critical path method, or resource forecasting.
- Formal qualifications in project management, engineering, or related disciplines.
