
Production Scheduler

An Australian R&D and manufacturing company developing advanced defence and industrial systems is expanding its team and now hiring a Production Scheduler to support efficient planning and delivery as they scale into full manufacturing.
In this role, you will be responsible for scheduling production activities, allocating tasks across assembly teams, and ensuring resources are aligned with project timelines. You will work closely with supervisors, machinists, and quality to anticipate bottlenecks, adjust schedules, and communicate impacts to stakeholders. The role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with the ability to balance daily demands against long-term production goals.
This is a full-time, Adelaide-based role with excellent access to public transport and parking.
Full relocation is required for interstate candidates; cost assistance is provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, manage, and update production schedules to meet customer and project requirements.
- Allocate tasks across multiple assembly teams to optimise workflow.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to address delays or resourcing issues.
- Communicate schedule updates, risks, and impacts to management and stakeholders.
- Work closely with Assembly Supervisor, CNC, and Quality teams to ensure alignment.
- Contribute to process improvements in planning and scheduling practices.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Production Scheduler, Planner, or Coordinator in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise across production, engineering, and management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changes.
- Must be an Australian citizen.
Desirable but not essential:
- Background in defence or other precision manufacturing environments.
- Experience using production planning tools or ERP/MRP systems.
- Formal qualifications in supply chain, production management, or related fields.
