The Opportunity
ROUSSOS Recruitment is proud to partner with S&A Stairs, a fourth-generation, family-owned business with over 100 years of craftsmanship. Renowned for their design excellence and attention to detail, they are trusted by builders and architects to deliver stairs that elevate the character of every space.
We are now seeking an experienced Scheduling Manager to join the South Australian team at S&A Stairs. This is a unique opportunity to step into a leadership role where you will take ownership of scheduling, lead and support a skilled team of installers, and build strong, trusted relationships with builders across the state. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring projects run smoothly, contributing directly to the high-quality workmanship and reputation that has defined S&A Stairs for over a century.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Take ownership of the South Australian installation schedule, ensuring projects are planned efficiently and delivered to the high standards S&A Stairs is known for.
- Act as the primary point of contact for builders, managing relationships and coordinating expectations to keep projects on track.
- Lead and support a skilled team of four installers, providing guidance, mentoring, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Conduct occasional site visits to complete measures, check site access, and carry out inspections.
- Manage administrative and operational tasks, including processing invoices, signing off subcontractor work, and maintaining accurate project records.
- Coordinate material and resource planning, ensuring all projects have the tools, supplies, and information they need to run smoothly.
What We Are Looking For:
To be successful in this role, you will bring proven residential site supervision experience and the confidence to work directly with builders and trades both on-site and over the phone. You will thrive in a role that requires you to balance competing priorities, think on your feet, and make sound decisions independently. Just as importantly, you will be an effective communicator who can build strong working relationships with installers, colleagues, and clients, representing S&A Stairs with professionalism and reliability.
What's In It For You:
This position offers the stability of consistent hours, working Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 3:00pm, providing a predictable routine and work-life balance. You'll manage a small team of four installers with the support of a structured performance framework and the wider operations team. Most of your time will be office-based, with occasional site visits to keep the role varied, all while enjoying clear responsibilities and the backing of one of Australia's most respected stair-building companies.
This role is an excellent next step for an experienced residential site supervisor looking to move into a leadership position while still applying their hands-on building knowledge. Your experience coordinating trades, managing schedules, and liaising with builders will translate seamlessly into overseeing the South Australian installation team. This role allows you to focus on planning, organisation, and leadership, while still maintaining a connection to site operations, giving you the chance to make a real impact in a well-established family-owned business.
